Trans*Aktionen: Transition und Transaktionsfähigkeit

Der Beitrag entwickelt den Begriff der Trans*Aktion, um die Verschränkung von geschlechtlicher Transition und administrativer Transaktion zugänglich zu machen. Ausgehend vom Selbstbestimmungsgesetz (SBGG, 2024) wird gezeigt, wie Transitionen mediale Kaskaden in Identitätsinfrastrukturen auslösen, deren Friktionen an das Individuum delegiert werden. In medienhistorischer Perspektive wird die staatliche Monopolisierung von Referenzmedien für Raum, Zeit, Identität und Wert als konstitutive Infrastruktur moderner Transaktionen rekonstruiert. In der digitalen Gouvernemedialität verschärfen Klassifikationssysteme diese Konstellation Der Beitrag plädiert für eine Medienwissenschaft als Transaktionswissenschaft, die die Identitätslogiken transaktionaler Infrastrukturen kritisch analysiert.

This article develops the concept of Trans*Action to analyze the entanglement of gender transition and administrative transaction. Taking the German Self-Determination Act (SBGG, 2024) as its reference point, it shows how transitions trigger media cascades across distributed identity infrastructures whose frictions are then delegated to the individual. From a media-historical perspective, the state monopolization of reference media for space, time, identity, and value is reconstructed as the constitutive infrastructure of modern transactions. In the digital gouvernemediality, algorithmic classification systems intensify this constellation by inferring gender beyond the legal civil registry. The article argues for media studies as transaction-study to critically analyze the identity logics underlying transactional infrastructures.
