Der Beitrag untersucht daten- und KI-basierte Plattformarbeit von Geflüchteten in Camps in Irakisch-Kurdistan am Beispiel des Bildungsprogramms Re:Coded und des daraus hervorgegangenen Start-ups TaQadam. Aus materialistisch-feministischer und postkolonialer Perspektive wird analysiert, wie Interfaces Lern-, Arbeits- und Bewertungsprozesse strukturieren und dabei Sorge-, Warte- und Korrekturarbeiten systematisch unsichtbar machen. Der Text entwickelt den Begriff der reproduktiven Interface-Arbeit, um jene pflegenden, stabilisierenden und infrastrukturellen Tätigkeiten zu fassen, die digitale Wertschöpfung ermöglichen, jedoch entwertet bleiben. Er zeigt, wie Geschlecht, Flucht, Plattformökonomie und koloniale Machtverhältnisse in der Organisation von Datenarbeit ineinandergreifen.

This article examines data and AI-driven platform labor performed by refugees in camps in Iraqi Kurdistan by looking at the case study of the education program Re:Coded and the spin-off startup TaQadam. Drawing on materialist feminist and postcolonial perspectives, it analyzes how interfaces organize learning, labor, and evaluation processes while caregiving tasks, waiting, and maintenance work are systematically rendered invisible. The article introduces the concept of reproductive interface labor to capture the sustaining and infrastructural practices that enable digital value production yet remain devalued. It demonstrates how gender, displacement, platform economies, and colonial power relations intersect in contemporary AI labor regimes.
