Die Europäische Audiovisuelle Informationsstelle (EAO) in Straßburg sammelt und veröffentlicht seit über 20 Jahren Daten und Informationen zum Film- und TV-Markt in Europa. Neben Auswertungen der Verteilung von Marktanteilen in Kinos, bei VOD-Anbietern oder der Anzahl von Filmproduktionen in Europa, rücken zunehmend auch andere Themen in den Fokus, wie die Zugänglichkeit von Inhalten für Personen mit Einschränkungen oder die Zahl weiblicher Beschäftigter in Europäischen Film- und TV-Produktionen. Im Interview mit Susanne Nikoltchev und Martin Kanzler sprachen Judith Keilbach und Florian Krautkrämer über über die institutionellen Hintergründe des EAO sowie die von ihm zusammengestellten Daten.

The European Audiovisual Observatory in Strasbourg has been collecting and publishing data and information on the film and TV market in Europe for more than 20 years. In addition to analyses on the distribution of market shares in cinemas, among VOD providers and the numbers of film productions in Europe, studies increasingly focus on other topics, such as the accessibility of content for people with disabilities or the numbers of female employees in European film and TV productions. In an interview with Susanne Nikoltchev and Martin Kanzler, Judith Keilbach and Florian Krautkrämer talked about the institutional background of the EAO as well as the data it compiles.
